Golden Gate Bridge



The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the opening of the San Francisco Bay into the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and of the United States. It has been declared one of the modern Wonders of The World b. The Frommers travel guide considers the Golden Gate Bridge "possibly the most beautiful, certainly the most photographed, bridge in the world
     Unfortunately More people commit suicide at the Golden Gate Bridge (San Francisco) than at any other site in the world. The fatality rate of jumping is roughly 98%. Length of bridge is 2.7 kilometers, height is 746 ft, and width is 90 ft. bridge was opened on May 27, 1937
